About Teacher Danny Jimenez

Danny Jimenez was born in Bogota, Colombia, and holds a bachelor in modern languages and a master in applied linguistics from Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas in Bogotá. Besides he has lived in USA where he studied Pronunciation, Reading and spelling at Colorado Mountain College in Dillon.

He has conducted research projects in two different areas of education such discourse analysis to examine power relation in the classroom and on critical pedagogy in virtual spaces to describe a community situated approach in the EFL area. The results of the first research were published in journal How which is a Colombian journal for teachers of English classified by COLCIENCIAS in category C AND registered with Infotrac GALE Cengage Learning. http://www.asocopi.org/How_2005.html.

His teaching experience goes around private universities such Universida Catolica de Colombia, Universidad La Gran Colombia and Corporacion Universitaria Minuto de Dios.
